Eucharistic Minister schedules are available in the sacristies of both churches.
The EMHC serves the Eucharistic life of the Christian Community. They are appointed by the bishop at the request of the pastor to assist with ordinary minister (bishop, priest, deacon) in sharing the Eucharist with members of the community for which they are commissioned.
Responsibilities and Tasks: The EMHC:
1. EMHC helps the ordinary minister share the holy gifts with those who have gathered for the Eucharist.
2. May be entrusted with taking the sacrament to the sick.
3. In case of Special need, delegated by the pastor, distribute the sacrament during a liturgical service outside of Mass.
Formation and Training: An EMHC needs to be an active, fully initiated and practicing Catholic in good standing, age 18 or above. They will be duly prepared and trained and must have the desire to serve the parish community and to commit time and talent to this ministry.
